Makar Sankranti traditionally marks the onset of the spring season in India. The festival is celebrated with different names in different parts of the country. Bal Bharati Public School celebrated Lohri/Pongal/Makar Sankranti at its premises on 13th January 2023.The celebration was to make the students understand how the festival is celebrated differently across the country, in diverse culture and heritage. Various cultural programmes were presented, such as dance, song, cosplay on the theme- “Vividhata me Ekta”. Adding to it a teacher’s talk was given to throw light on the essence of the festival. Kite flying was one of the major attractions for Pre-school & Pre-primary. BBPS tiny tots enjoyed and learnt the importance of the occasion. The students learnt lots of things about different culture and tradition. The celebration indeed promoted unity in diversity among students.
