A special activity was conducted on Friday, 23 July 2021 for Pre-School and Pre- Primary students. All the students were donned up in black coloured dress and made an emoji by using paper plate and shared their thoughts on the same. They also learnt various emotions through animated presentation by the teacher.

The session was a huge success as the activity not only helped the students in developing their presentation and creativity but also developed their social and emotional skills.

An Interactive Counseling Session (Peer Relationship) was organized on Monday, 19th July,2021 for class IV&V through virtual means.

The students participated in this session with great enthusiasm. The Teacher Coordinator discussed with the students about the Peer Relationship and explained through a Power Point Presentation and flash cards. Students learnt about both positive & negative influences of peer relationship and how to handle themselves in peer pressure.

The session was really informative and helpful in relation to peer groups.

A virtual craft session was held on 22nd March 2021 for the students of Classes VI and VII. The teacher demonstrated the process of making a wall hanging using paper cutting techniques. The students learnt the various ways of utilizing waste/discarded materials in a creative manner.

The session was a great success as students showed great enthusiasm and interest in the session. The session provided the students with an opportunity to hone their observational and creative skills by learning the art of recycling.

A Special Dance Programme - 'Dazzle of Jazz ' was held on Saturday, 17thJuly 2021 from 1:00pm-1:40pm through virtual means for the students of Class IV & V as a part of Happy Curriculum & Fun -Learning .The teacher  demonstrated jazz walk, ball change, fancy footwork, big leaps, quick turns and chain turns of jazz dance.

The session was extremely interesting and innovative as the students followed the teacher and learned the basic steps of Jazz Dance using props.

The students prepared a Pyramid of Women leaders of the selected countries (Bangladesh, Norway, Australia, or India) and spoke a few sentences about them.

The Inter cultural week for the session 2021-22 was celebrated from Tuesday, 13thJuly 2021 to Friday, 16th July 2021 for the students of Pre-School to Class VIII. Various activities were held class wise through virtual means based on theme States/UTs viz; Odisha, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Kashmir and Kerala.

The day wise activities conducted for various classes were as follows:

Day 1 –  The teacher introduced and presented a PPT highlighting theme UT/State’s origin, cuisines, festivals, languages, costumes, music/folk and art forms respectively.

Day 2 – Students presented themselves in the traditional attire of the given state/UT theme.

Day 3– Students prepared charts/drawings/PPT on the famous tourist places of their theme state and presented the same by sharing their thoughts.

Day 4 –Teachers conducted various activities like quiz, video presentation, virtual visit to a famous tourist place.

The celebration proved to be a great experience for the students as they not only learnt about the modalities of Indian Culture but also gained the knowledge of national integration and harmony.

Workshop :- Morning Bliss Pranayama Exercises for staff

A Special live programme on pranayama exercises “Morning Bliss” was held on Saturday, 10th July 2021 6:45-7:15am for the staff members BBPS Darlipali in school premises. The workshop was held to uphold the true meaning of Mental and Physical health Well-being. The exercises of Pranayama were demonstrated and practised and their benefits were explained.

The session was a great success as staff members not only enjoyed the workshop but also learnt about the importance of Pranayama .

A Special Dance Programme - ' Swags of Contemporary ' was held on Tuesday, 29th June 2021 from 1:00pm-1:40pm through virtual means for the students of Pre-School to Class-II as a part of Happy Curriculum & fun -learning .The teacher  demonstrated the basic steps, leg swings, flat back & the technique of floor movements of Indian Contemporary dance that  included nature movements like- Sun, Sun rises in the east, Sun sets in west, 9 Planets, Earth moves, Sunrays, heat, formation of clouds, rains drops ( colorful ribbon or dupatta were used to show the raindrops and Sun), flowers , bees, peacock, elephant & deer. The students were asked to learn and practise the same along with the teacher.

All the Students have participated the session with full interest and enthusiasm.

A Virtual Special Activity – A Scrumptious Delight Activity was conducted on Thursday, 24th June 2021 for Pre-School and Pre- Primary students. All the students were dressed up as fruit of their own choice. Children made a healthy fruit salad by mixing different fruits such as Apple, Banana, Watermelon, Pineapple, Grapes and Pomegranate under the supervision of their parents. A presentation on the benefits of fruits was also shared with the tiny tots to help them to know the importance of eating fruits to remain strong and healthy. They also presented their fruit salad and shared few lines on the fruits they were dressed up as.

The students not only enjoyed doing the activity but also learnt the importance of eating fruits.

Climate Action- Peace One Day live session was held on Monday, 21st of June 2021 for Class I to VIII through virtual means in https://peaceoneday.org/Main/SignUp webpage. Representatives from different countries spoke regarding Climate action and briefed about ways of sustaining World peace.

An informative and creative event with music, Words of Peace, interviews from world over was held therein. Talented key influencers conducted high-level panel discussions & set out to inform, inspire and engage individuals and organizations to engage with Climate Action for joint effort.

Students attended the live event and learnt about Climate Action’s role in maintaining world peace.

Students participated in the session with great enthusiasm. The Teacher Coordinator discussed the students about the Origin of yoga and explained through a Power Point Presentation that how Yoga can be a holistic approach to health and well-being. A video was also presented highlighting the various poses of Yoga. Some basic Yog Asanas were also performed by the students & attendees . In the end, Students presented their placards/banners in correspondence to the paramount importance of the day.

A webinar was attended on World Environment Day on Saturday, 5th June 2021 on the topic: Young Environmentalist, Launch of a new website by CSE. The resource persons were Souparno Bannerjee, Tusrita Rawat & Ashu Ratra. Many students also actively participated in the webinar. The three R’s were explained with the help of suitable examples. The main focus was on the optimum utilization of all the natural resources and waste management. A quiz was also conducted on Bio-Diversity. Natural disasters and its causes were discussed to explain the changing environment because of human needs and greeds.

A webinar was attended by our students from class-II- VIII on the topic Ecosystem Restoration by CEE-Ahmedabad focusing on the below mentioned subtopics

1. Degradation of ecosystem

2. What is ecosystem restoration and why it is important to restore ecosystem

3. Ways to restore ecosystem like:

Plantation, Natural healing of environment, Restoration projects, Raising awareness among people & Conservation and restoration.

Both the webinars were really helpful to encourage the students for opting R’s in their life.

 स्वस्थ स्कोरकार्ड - ' स्वच्छता पखवाडा़ ' के तहत सोमवार 31/05/2021 को मध्यान 3:00-3:30 बजे तक एक विशेष वर्चुवल कक्षा का आयोजन किया गया। इसमें कक्षा  -1 से लेकर कक्षा -Vlll तक के विद्यार्थी उपस्थित हुए । इस कक्षा के माध्यम से विद्यार्थीयों को स्वच्छता के महत्व के विषय में बताया गया ,उन्हें यह भी बताया गया की स्वच्छता एक अच्छी आदत है यह प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के स्वास्थ्य के लिए एवं सकारात्मक व्यक्तित्व के लिए अनिवार्य है।

विद्यार्थियों को यह भी समझाया गया की किस प्रकार से वें अपनी स्वच्छता ,अपने पालतू पशुओं की स्वच्छता , पर्यावरण की स्वच्छता , अपने पास-पडो़स की स्वच्छता , अपने विद्यालय की स्वच्छता  एवं अपने भोजन की स्वच्छता का ध्यान रख सकते हैं और जरूरी काम कर सकते है।

वर्चुवल कक्षा को उपयोगी एवं प्रभावी बनाने के लिए स्वच्छता पर आधारित पावर प्वाइंट प्रजेंटेशन एवं लघु वीडियों भी प्रदर्शित किया गया तथा कक्षा  -1 से कक्षा -Vlll तक के विद्यार्थीयों से क्रमवार एवं उपयोगी प्रश्न  पूछे गए और उत्तर भी प्राप्त किए गए।

विद्यार्थीयों ने पूरी रूचि एवं उत्साह के साथ स्वच्छता पखवाडा़ की विशेष कक्षा में भाग लिया स्वच्छता के लिए आवश्यक गुणों को सीखा एवं कक्षा को सफल बनाया ।

The response of the children was very promising and overwhelming.

Mass Prayer- Covid Warriors

Day : Wednesday

Date : 5th May 2021

Bal Bharati Public School NTPC, Darlipali  observed a short session/ Prayer meet on Wednesday ,5th May 2021 at 7.30 p.m through online mode to honour and commemorate the sacrifices made by the frontline Covid warriors in the fight against the virus followed by the showcase of an informative video embracing a few motivational songs & prayers.

The programme/ mass prayer culminated with an urge to all in keeping the environment positive & optimistic. All were requested to adhere to the apt Covid Behaviour & guidelines.

Students were encouraged to stay calm & hopeful.

Students of Pre-School and Pre-Primary made comparative hand impressions to show the difference between clean and dirty hand whereas students of  Classes I to VIII understood the importance of hand hygiene through an informative video related to the steps of  hand washing .

A special programme to mark the occasion of Mother’s Day was held on Tuesday, 4th May 2021 through virtual means. The students of Class Pre-School to Class II presented heartwarming dance and songs with their mothers in look alike costumes. The students of Class III-V made beautiful photoframes for their boloved mothers and the students from Class VI-VIII made marvellous videos highlighting various life stages of their mother’s life.

The bonding emotion and earnest efforts of students and their parents made the programme more special and left an indubitable mark on everyone’s hearts.

The first Clubs’ Activities for the session 2021-22 were held on Friday, 30th April 2021 through virtual means.

The details are as follows:

Nature Club: Bring Nature Closer

·       Hug A Tree (Class I&II): Students presented pictures by hugging a tree and shared their thoughts on the same.

·       Bird Call (Class III to V): Students recorded an audio/video of a bird and presented the same through PowerPoint.

·       Stone Art (Class VI to VIII): Students prepared a stone art by arranging stones in creative manner.

Interact Club: Sharing Sacred Bond

·       Scribble an Emoji (Class I&II): Students made the various Emoticons by drawing and sharing their thoughts on the same.

·       Making of Buntings (Class III to V):  Students made buntings for community service.

·       Help-O-Meter (Class VI-VIII): Students shared their own experiences of helping others through Help-O-Meter.

Health & Wellness Club: Health and Safety – Go hand in hand

·       Safety at Home (Class I & II): Students made a First Aid Kit and learnt the basic operating procedures.

·       Balanced Diet (Class III to V): Students prepared a presentation on ‘Balanced diet’ using Prezi software and explained the same.

·       Road Safety Charter (Class VI to VIII): Students prepared a chart on Road Safety and presented the same.

Vernacular Club: भावाभिव्यक्ति

·       अचिंतित व्याख्यान (Class III to V): Students participated in extempore on the topics like Importance of Discipline, Environment and pollution, Effect of COVID -19 in India, Increasing Population, Online Education etc. in Hindi.

 ·        ସୋସିଆଲ୍ ମିଡ଼ିଆରେ ମୋ ମତ (Class VI-VIII ): Students participated in a group discussion on the topic ‘Social Media’ in Odia.

Digital Club: Inspiring Minds

·       Advertisement Flyer Making (Class VI – VIII): Students made digital flyers on the topic ‘Prevention Against Covid-19’ using Adobe Spark online software.

The students participated enthusiastically in their respective activities and learnt through ‘reflection on doing’ that led to the overall development of the students.

World Earth Day was celebrated through different activities on Thursday, 22nd April 2021 for Mont I to Class VIII through virtual means. Students of Mont I to Mont II dressed up and enacted on the theme Flora and Fauna. Students of Class I- II dressed up as Earth and shared the different features of our planet whereas the students of class III-V presented and described their self-prepared models & for class VI-VIII, a special guest lecture was held by the External Resource Person Ms. Goldi Gautam, PGT History, Indraprastha Yojna, Ghaziabad who sensitized the students through her words of wisdom & knowledge.

During the drill, a demonstration was held on how to use the fire safety equipment to overcome the fire hazards in day to day life. ● A symposium was conducted on India’s Freedom Struggle for classes V- VII, wherein students participated as the active speakers and floated their optimistic thoughts on the topic ‘Wings of Golden Bird’.

● On the Spot Creative Writing Competition was held for classes III & IV on the topic ‘Flight of Freedom’ – India’s Struggle.

All the students participated with full zest, fervor and expressed themselves openly. The love and respect for the Nation was conspicuous in their presentation and notions.

Each student presented his/her work piece in a different manner by giving a suitable title to each & every photo.

This activity was really informative and helpful for the students as it created awareness about pandemic situation and they learnt to solve the real life accidental problems.

 A Special Programme on Ventriloquism ‘Make Friends with Puppet’ was organized on Wednesday, 27th January 2021 for students of Mont I to VII.

The programme was conducted by a famous NGO, Jan Madhyam, New Delhi. The external resource  person was Ms. Ranjana Pandey, Founder & Director, Jan Madhyam along with Mr. Dhiraj Jaiswal and Ms. Seema Kumari.

It was held in two different slots, i.e. Class: Mont I-III and Class: IV to VII respectively. Students learnt about the various social and behavioral issues like education for all, gender equality and respect for all through various stories. They also witnessed the Puppet Art Forms of various states of India.

The session was a great success as students enjoyed and understood the importance of theatre in education and elements of all the art forms.

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated in Bal Bharati Public School Darlipali with patriotic fervour. The celebration started with the unfurling of the Tri colour flag by the Principal Ms Shivani Sharma and Mr. Himanshu Behera, Sr. Managar (HR), NTPC Darlipali followed by the national anthem.

The cultural programme started with an exhilarating Patriotic song by Mr Shivansh Patel . The stage was brought alive with the  graceful movements  of Mr Sudip Biswas  . The programme was then followed by a speech by Ms. Bharti Choudhary  marking the importance  of the day. The fun games arranged for the teachers added to the excitment of the celebration

Class I & II escalated the patriotic fervour by making crown. A Special Evening Unplugged ‘Bhuli Bisari Yadeein’ was organized on Saturday, 12th December 2020 evening at 06.00 PM through virtual platform on the evergreen songs of 70’s and 80’s era wherein more than 70 parents joined & supported her. The event was a small step to manage stress in such difficult and unprecedented times, by spending quality time with loved ones and making the connection strong. The outstanding performances by students with their parents and teachers created an enchanted environment which made the event a grand success.

A Special activity (Chitta Vritti Nirodha) of Pranayama exercises was held on Sunday, 6th December 2020 for the students of Mont I and II through virtual class. Activity focused on yoga exercises depicting perfection of skill in breathing exercises and Pranayama. The exercises were practised by the students and their parents to know the importance of Yoga/Pranayama especially during this threatening and pandemic situation. A Virtual special activity online class was conducted On Friday,27 November 2020 about Voyage to Universe. (Creating day and night scene).

Class Mont I and II Students were asked to create day and night scene using stars, moon, sun, clouds, rainbow with colorful papers and sheets using their own creative sense.

A Virtual tour on universe was held in the beginning of the activity followed by the making of the day and night scene.

This activity helped the students in developing their creative and imaginative skills.

All the students participated in the special activity and enjoyed to the fullest.

Students from Mont-I to Class-VII participated in the programme with great enthusiasm by showcasing their talent in the form of dance, songs and inspirational thoughts on celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali during the pandemic situation. A video was also presented highlighting the significance of this festival of lights and prosperity.

The students were dressed in traditional attire and enjoyed all the performances with lots of fun and excitement which made the programme a great success.

World Science Day was celebrated in our School on Tuesday, 10th November 2020 for Classes I-VII.

In Classes I-III: Teachers discussed about the importance of World Science day and how Science is dealing with the global pandemic situation. Each student was provided 3 minutes to show his/her creations in the form of chart presentation on the topic ‘Save Environment’.

In Classes IV-VII: Teachers discussed about the importance of World Science day and how Science is dealing with the global pandemic situation. Each student was provided 2 minutes to describe his/her model related to the topic.

This activity provided a platform to explore the knowledge, helped to develop the Scientific skills, creativity and thinking skills of the students.

Total 87 students participated in the activity and enjoyed to the fullest.

Our School was visited by honorable Mr. Sunil Kumar Satya, Executive Director, NTPC Darlipali, Mr.TK Bageshwar, GM (TS) and Mr. Alok Kumar Ranbir, HoHR along with other officials for the infrastructural development and progress of the school building on Saturday, 7th November 2020.

The dignitaries had a school building tour. A video presentation consisting of highlights of infrastructure and the functioning of School in scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas was also showcased to update the dignitaries.

It was concluded that the system and working of school was as per the core schools of the Child Education Society. The best possible steps to be taken for the amelioration of school were also discussed.

A tree plantation by the dignitaries was arranged before culmination of the visit.

The Executive Director spoke a few words of encouragement and appreciation for the School.

Teachers of their respective classes described about the ISA project and its importance in providing quality education. Students first they showed their collage on the three common festivals between India, Australia and Norway, then they described it in few sentences.

Mont I and II: Mont I was coordinated by Ms. Sivadanam Sindhura and Mont II was coordinated by Mr. Anika Singh. Teachers of their respective classes described about the ISA project and its importance in providing quality education. Students first they showed their collage on the three common festivals between India, Australia and Norway, then they described it in few sentences.

Teachers motivated and appreciated all the students. Photographs were taken and event was also recorded.

The first Inter House activity named ‘Nrityanjali’, a dance-drama was held in a grand manner through Google meet platform. Mr. Alok Kumar Ranbir, Head of HR, NTPC, Darlipali solicited the programme with his presence as Special Guest. The parents along with the students also witnessed the programme.

The performances were divided in two slots based on two different themes:

1. Mahishasur Mardini

2. Draupadi’s Life History

Mahishasur Mardini was performed by Classes I & II, whereas students of Classes III-V performed Draupadi’s Life History. Prerecorded videos of various houses were shown through VC. The students of different houses participated and performed successfully with lots of enthusiasm. All the students understood the Indian mythology through Mahishasur Mardini and Draupadi’s life history. Students enjoyed the programme and were excited for the competition.
