Club Activity – II

The school clubs offer numerous advantages for the learners. Every activity carried out by the club will encourage students to cultivate a different perception of life. By engaging in activities outside the classroom, students have the chance to deepen their knowledge and skills in specific areas related to their studies. The second club activities for the session 2023-24 was conducted on Monday, 29th January 2024. Nature Club- The students of classes I-III spoke about natural disasters. The students of classes IV-IX presented a PPT on Natural disasters and manmade disasters and their mitigation. Interact Club- Students of classes I-III performed poems and expressed their thoughts. The students of IV-VI enacted any commical character or incident of their choice and the students of classes VII-X were taught the art of expressing their emotions incorporating the idea of navarasa (the Sanskrit term for the nine emotional states of human experience, such as love, joy, anger, and fear). Health and Wellness- The theme of the 2nd club activity was ‘Fit Matters’ in which the students of classes I-III performed Zumba which helped them to burn calories, strengthen core and improve flexibility. The students of classes IV-VI did different yoga asanas and meditation in a systematic way to energise their body and boost their memory. Whereas a stress management workshop was organised for the students of   VII-IX that helped them to learn about different ways to de-stress. Budding scientists club- A sustainable future depends on science, critical thinking, innovation and its applications as well as on correct legislation. To make the creativity of the students more visually appealing and integrating scientific innovations with expressiveness of the students’ different activities were conducted. The students of classes I-III understood the concept of sink or float where they played, experimented and discovered what types of objects float and sink in water and why during a hands-on activity. Students of classes IV-VI created solar cooker which helped them to learn about solar power and solar heating. Periscopes were made by the students of classes VII-IX that helped them to develop an understanding of observation over, around or through an object, obstacle or condition that prevents direct line-of-sight observation from an observer’s current position. Digital and Photography club– This club not just allow individuals the chance to tap the photos and spare them for the future, yet in addition gave a sort of stage to express their feelings, emotions, and observation. This time the students were introduced to the fundamentals of cinematography and videography followed by the presentation of short films by the students. Students enthusiastically took part in their respective club activities and foster their creative and interactive skills.
