As a part of National Road Safety Week, Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Darlipali organised various competition on 12th August,2024. Students from pre-school to class IX participated in these engaging competition that aimed at promoting road safety awareness. For the students of Pre-school and Pre-primary, ‘Rainbow Roads: Colour Your Safety’ a colouring competition with road safety themes was organised, allowing them to express their creativity while learning about basic road safety concepts. Students in Class I to II took part in the ‘Signs of Safety: Symbol Craft Challenge,’ where they crafted Traffic Symbols on A4-size chart paper and explained them. Students in Class III to IV participated in “Rules of the Road: Penning Pathways to Safety,” an activity that involved writing and creating road safety guidelines or rules. Participants wrote road safety rules that promoted safe behaviour on the roads. Students in Class V to VI took part in “Words for Wheels: Slogan Innovation Challenge,” a slogan writing competition in Hindi/English challenging their knowledge and understanding of road safety rules and regulations. Students in Class VII to IX participated in “Design for Drive: Poster Creation Rally,” a Poster-making competition with messages promoting road safety, such as wearing helmets, using seat belts, obeying traffic rules, and avoiding distracted driving. These activities ensured that students across age groups actively contribute to spreading awareness and understanding of road safety principles during this important week.
