Students from Classes III-IV teamed up to prepare nutritious and visually appealing chaat bowls using fresh vegetables, sprouts, and creative garnishes. Their presentations were further enhanced with imaginative props and unique dish names. The special programme that followed added warmth and inspiration to the event. The programme began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and wisdom, accompanied by floral tributes to the image of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, whose love for children continues to inspire the celebration of Children’s Day across the country. Ms. Sonia Gupta, Asst. Teacher SST, delivered an insightful speech that emphasized the joy of childhood and the importance of nurturing young minds. Following the speech, the teachers took to the stage for a beautiful group song, filling the hall with melody and a sense of togetherness.

The celebrations continued with a captivating magic show by Mr. Sunil Kumar Patel, who amazed the students with his illusions and tricks. The show was a delightful addition, leaving the students in awe and making the day truly memorable.

The event was graced by distinguished guests: Ms. Poonam Malik, President of Abhilasha Ladies Club, served as the Chief Guest, while Mrs. Sapna Singh, Vice President of Abhilasha Ladies Club, was the Guest of Honour. Both guests commended the school for its dedication to providing students with holistic education and joyful experiences

Ad-Mad Show(Advertising Show): For Classes III-IV, students showcased their talent by creating lively advertisements for useful products. Each participant used creative jingles, costumes, backdrops, and props to make their product stand out. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed were remarkable, as students confidently presented unique and entertaining ads. Career Pool: In the Career Pool event, students from Classes V-X were grouped and tasked with preparing detailed PPT on various career paths, focusing on courses, eligibility requirements, and potential opportunities. Each house selected a different academic stream, delivering insightful information on options within Commerce, Science (PCM & CBZ), and Humanities. The presentations were evaluated on content, design, clarity, and delivery. The judgement was done by Mr. Subham Dabir (Senior Manager, NTPC Darlipali)Ms. Shilpa Dung Dung (Senior Manager, NTPC Darlipali) & Ms Baijayanti Pradhan Ansthesiologist, Niramaya Hospital.

Best Performer Award went to Vaayu House for their comprehensive and engaging presentation on Science (PCM). Their research, clarity, and depth of knowledge were impressive and provided valuable guidance to peers exploring potential career paths.

Both events provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and develop essential skills like teamwork, public speaking, and research. The competition not only celebrated creativity and ambition but also inspired students to think innovatively about future careers and opportunities.

Thus, Diwali celebration at Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Darlipali, was a heartwarming success, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a deeper understanding of the festival's values.

Category 1: Floating Orange (Classes I-III)

Students explored buoyancy by observing an unpeeled orange floating and a peeled orange sinking in water. This fun experiment helped introduce the concept of density.

Category 2: Deep Sea Diver (Classes IV-VI)

In this hands-on activity, students learned about pressure and buoyancy through a Cartesian diver experiment. They manipulated water pressure in a bottle to make a diver rise and sink, understanding the basics of fluid dynamics.

Category 3: Bio Dynamics: Human Physiology (Classes VII-IX)

Students in prepared detailed models of human physiology, showcasing organs like the heart, lungs, and brain. They confidently explained the functions of these organs, highlighting their roles in maintaining vital bodily processes.

The hands-on approach to learning helped students understand scientific concepts in a fun and practical way. The event not only enhanced their understanding of science but also encouraged a collaborative learning environment.

The Kite-making activity, along with the fun games, was a delightful experience for the students. The event helped them improved their creativity, motor skills, and ability to follow instructions while also providing a platform for physical activity and fun. The combination of indoor crafting and outdoor play made it an enriching day for the children.

The combination of craft-making and outdoor play made the learning process enjoyable and beneficial for the children, ensuring a balance of cognitive, physical, and emotional growth.

                                                 The Inauguration of 'The Integrity Club'

On Thursday, 24th October 2024, Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Darlipali, proudly laid the foundation of 'The Integrity Club,' a new initiative aimed at nurturing a strong sense of integrity, accountability, and moral values among students. The club aims to instill essential principles such as honesty, community welfare, patriotism, tolerance, secularism, simplicity, compassion, responsibility, respect, non-violence, and unity. Through these values, the club seeks to shape students into responsible citizens of tomorrow.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Ram Bhajan Malik, the Head of the Plant, NTPC Darlipali, as the esteemed chief guest, along with Ms. Pratibha Singh, HOHR, NTPC Darlipali, and Mr. M. Bhaskara Rao, AGM Vigilance, NTPC Darlipali. The program commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by the official inauguration of The Integrity Club. The school counsellor gave an introduction about the club, outlining its vision and long-term goals aimed at nurturing integrity within the student community. Following this, the students performed a thought-provoking skit, showcasing the importance of integrity in everyday life. The performance was well-received by the audience, drawing attention to the moral principles that the club aims to promote. The chief guest, Mr. Ram Bhajan Malik, in his speech, commended the school for taking such a crucial step in shaping the future of its students. He emphasised the need for integrity in all walks of life and encouraged the students to embrace the values of the club with dedication. Additionally, he personally felicitated Master Aditya Singh for his remarkable achievement of winning medals in the BBPS Sports Meet.

The honorable Principal, in her address, lauded the initiative and expressed her confidence that The Integrity Club would become a beacon of morality and leadership within the school. She narrated a story from her life and emphasized the school's role in fostering students’ growth not only academically but also ethically. As part of the event, the Principal led the students in an Oath on Integrity, inspiring them to uphold values of honesty, responsibility, and moral courage in their daily lives. Then the esteemed guest Ms. Pratibha Singh, delivered a speech in which she shared inspiring incidents from her childhood, encouraging the students to follow the path of righteousness and integrity in all aspects of life. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, where gratitude was expressed to the chief guest, the Principal, teachers, students, and all who contributed to making the event a success.

Along with the inaugural programme various competitions were organised such as painting & essay writing for classes V to X to observe Vigilance week.

The foundation of The Integrity Club marks a significant milestone in the school’s journey to develop the next generation of ethical and responsible leaders.

On Friday, October 18, 2024, an engaging Ad-Mad Show was organized for students of classes I and II. As part of this activity, students presented advertisements for useful products, incorporating creative jingles, props, and backdrops. This experience encouraged them to think outside the box, fostering unique advertising concepts. Through their performances, students developed essential skills such as creativity, public speaking, and presentation. The activity aimed to enhance their ability to persuade, capture attention, and build meaningful connections with audience.

During the workshop, students learned and demonstrated key self-defence techniques, such as blocking, striking, escaping grabs, and using leverage in various real-life scenarios. The training empowered them to build psychological, intellectual, and physical strength, enabling them to protect themselves in times of distress. Moreover, the self-defence techniques instilled self-confidence and a positive attitude among the participants.

The session was very informative and valuable in raising awareness about self-defence, helping students overcome fear and negativity, and encouraging them to lead more balanced lives.

Various engaging activities were organised for the students, including a short presentation on the legend of Goddess Durga, mask-making of Maa Durga, creating artistic depictions of Navratri scenes, decorating dandiya sticks in the "Dandiya Delight" activity, and creating decorative pots in the "Kalash Creations" event. Students actively participated in these activities and also performed a dance-drama based on the story of Mahishasura Mardini.

In her address during the event, the esteemed Principal, Mrs. Neerja Tiwari, described Navratri Utsav as a festival of sensory discipline, spiritual energy accumulation, and inner purification. She encouraged students to respect the symbols of Indian culture and spiritual traditions, and to draw inspiration from the courage, strength, and patience of Goddess Durga, applying these values to lead a life of virtue and discipline.

The students further elivened the celebration by performing the traditional Garba dance and playing Dandiya, dressed in traditional attire, which added vibrancy and spirit to the atmosphere.

Category I (Classes I-III): Walking Water Science

The youngest students from Classes I to III participated in an experiment called "Walking Water Science." The objective of this activity was to demonstrate capillary action and colour mixing. Students used paper towels, water, and food colouring to observe how water travels through paper, creating colourful water bridges between cups. The children were excited to see the water "walk" and mix colours, showcasing their enthusiasm for science at such an early stage.

Category II (Classes IV-VI): Magic with Turmeric

For students of Classes IV to VI, the activity was titled "Magic with Turmeric," where they explored the concept of acids and bases. Turmeric, a natural indicator, was used to show colour changes when it comes into contact with substances like soap (a base) and lemon juice (an acid). Students were amazed as the yellow turmeric turned red in basic solutions and remained unchanged in acidic solutions. This simple yet effective experiment allowed students to understand the nature of chemical reactions in an interactive way.

Category III (Classes VII-IX): Marble Roller Coaster

The students of Classes VII to IX participated in a more complex activity titled "Marble Roller Coaster." The goal was to construct a functional roller coaster model for marbles using everyday materials like cardboard, tape, and paper tubes. This activity introduced students to concepts such as potential and kinetic energy, gravity, and momentum. The groups of students worked collaboratively, testing their designs and adjusting the tracks to ensure the marbles travelled smoothly through the roller coaster. It was a fantastic exercise in engineering, creativity, and teamwork.

As part of the campaign, the school organised a Rally on 1^st October 2024 in the CISF Colony and Darlipali Village. Students and staff enthusiastically participated in the rally, using it as a platform to voice their commitment to maintaining clean surroundings. The rally served as an impactful medium for the students to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and the need to sustain a clean environment.

The event also featured a Nukkad Natak (street play), performed at three key locations: CISF Colony, Darlipali Village, and the NTPC Plant Gate. Through engaging and creative performances, the students highlighted crucial environmental issues such as waste management, plastic pollution, and the significance of hygiene. The Nukkad Natak captivated the audience, delivering important messages in an entertaining yet impactful manner.

After each performance, the students and staff conducted a quick clean-up drive in and around the performance areas. This hands-on approach not only demonstrated the importance of cleanliness but also inspired the local community to take immediate action in keeping their surroundings clean.

To further engage the local residents, the school conducted a quiz focused on cleanliness and hygiene. The quiz aimed at increasing awareness among the local people, encouraging them to be more mindful of their environment and adopt sustainable habits.

The Swachhata Abhiyaan was a resounding success, with students, staff, and local community members actively participating in all activities. Through the rally, Nukkad Natak, clean-up drive, and quiz, Bal Bharati Public School successfully spread the message of cleanliness, environmental conservation, and social responsibility. This initiative has laid a strong foundation for the school's ongoing efforts to contribute to a cleaner, greener future for all.

A special Interactive Session-General Etiquettes & Manners was organized on Monday,30th September,2024 for classes Pre-School & Pre-Primary.

This workshop helped the students to shape their overall behaviour, boost their self-confidence and enhance personal and social values. Teacher demonstrated general etiquettes, table manners also good eating habits, way of eating and communication etiquettes through a video presentation and story. They acquired  polite behaviour, communication etiquettes & life skills.

The session was informative and helpful in relation to general etiquettes & manners to build relationship with people with positive approach towards work.

The event was a wonderful combination of learning, creativity and celebration of wildlife. Indeed it was a fun learning experience for the students.

The event successfully instilled a sense of pride among the students for Hindi Language. These competitions were a true testament to the cultural richness of Hindi and its importance in our daily lives.

The students participated in this session with great enthusiasm. The Teacher Coordinator discussed about the bully, kindness, empathy using a video. The students learned various behavioural aspects, how to exchange greetings & manners that would certainly help them to learn and build relationships and adopt desired behaviour.

Through the PowerPoint presentation and an activity “Wrinkled Heart”was conducted, where students wrote down a hurtful word they have experienced and describe the incident inside the picture of the heart. This activity provided a powerful visual demonstration of how hurtful words or actions can affect someone. It served as a reminder to practice kindness, encouraging students to promote positive behaviours. Ultimately, this fosters the development of a positive self-concept, self-acceptance, and high self-esteem.

The session was highly informative and helpful in relation to stop bully.

Thus, the overall workshop was a huge success, and the outcome was fruitful.

This activity not only introduced them to the rainy season but also helped in developing their motor skills. It was an enjoyable and educational event, bringing joy and excitement to the little ones while teaching them about the season in a hands-on way.

In a beautiful display of creativity, Mr. Arun Kumar (TGT-Hindi) recited a self-composed poem dedicated to Mr. Chakraborty Sir. The poem, was filled with heartfelt words and deep emotions, which spoke the cherished memories shared and the strong bonds formed over the years. This was followed by a mesmerising dance performance on Rabindra Sangeet.

A small video was then played, showcasing the journey of Mr. Chakraborty within the organisation. The video included heartfelt messages from colleagues, captured memories over the years, and highlights of his achievements under his leadership. This presentation effectively captured the essence of his time with the organisation and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

The Principal delivered a heartfelt speech, reflecting on Mr. Chakraborty’s journey and contributions. She spoke about his leadership, vision, and the positive impact he has had on the organisation and its people. Her words were filled with respect and admiration, providing a fitting tribute to his tenure.

The event concluded with emotional speech by Madhumita Ma’am, President of the Abhilasha Club, and Mr. Chakraborty himself. They expressed their gratitude, wished the school success in its future endeavors, and encouraged everyone to continue building upon the legacy they had established.

Overall, the farewell event was a heartfelt and memorable tribute to Mr. Harsh Nath Chakraborty, leaving a profound impact on all who attended. It was a beautiful reflection of the respect and admiration he garnered throughout his time at NTPC Darlipali, ensuring that his legacy will be remembered for years to come.

The day provided an opportunity to the little kids regarding practical learning experience and made their day enjoyable and memorable.

                              Krishna Janmashtami Celebration at Bal Bharati Public School

 Bal Bharati Public School, Darlipali, NTPC, celebrated Krishna Janmashtami on 22nd August 2024.The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the honorable principal, Ms. Neerja Tiwari. Mr. Pradeep Tiwari delivered a speech on the birth and life of Shree Krishna, emphasizing the importance of the day. This was followed by a vibrant dance performance by students of Grades IV and V. The highlight of the program was the Matki Phod. Students of Grades III to X participated enthusiastically and broke the decorated Matki filled with flowers and fruits. The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by the principal, leaving everyone filled with the festive spirit and a deeper connection to the cultural significance of the day.

The Krishna Janmashtami celebration at Bal Bharati Public School, Darlipali, NTPC, was a resounding success. The event not only fostered a sense of community and tradition but also deepened the students' understanding of the country's culture and heritage.

This year, the health check-up was diligently conducted by the medical team from Niramay Hospital, NTPC Darlipali, under the supervision of CMO Dr. Aparijita Mishra. The check-ups took place from Monday, August 12, 2024, to Saturday, August 17, 2024. During this period, students were measured through various health parameters including height and weight, and thorough examinations of their teeth, nails, ears, nose, and throat were carried out by Dr. Jyoti (Pediatrician), Dr. Harika (Dentist), and Dr. Anjali (General Medicine).

All findings, including specific observations and recommendations, were carefully documented in the Annual Health Report Card. This report provides a detailed overview of each student’s health status and will be shared with parents to keep them fully informed. By conducting these annual health check-ups, the school reinforces its commitment to the holistic development of its students, ensuring that both parents and educators have a clear understanding of each child’s health. This proactive approach enables early identification of potential health issues and contributes significantly to the overall physical and mental development of our students.

The program began with the hoisting of the Tricolour by the Principal, Ms. Neerja Piyush Tiwari.  In her address the Principal emphasized the immense value of freedom and reminded the students of how our freedom fighters joyfully sacrificed their lives for the country. She urged them to commit themselves to preserving these hard-won values as a tribute to those who fought so bravely for their future.

The Independence Day celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge to uphold the values of freedom, justice, and equality. The event was attended by students and faculty members making it an inspiring experience.

Spell Bee: 

For Classes I-II, students spelled given words within their classrooms. For Classes III-IV, the competition was more challenging, involving tasks such as spelling words, identifying pictures and spelling them out, guessing words, and unscrambling letters. The participants showed great enthusiasm and interest. The winners in this category were Ritika Sahoo of Class IV (First Place), Armaan Parida of Class III (Second Place), and Mannan Sharma of Class III (Third Place).

Calligraphy:

Students from Classes V-VI participated in Calligraphy competition where they were required to write a given paragraph in a legible and aesthetically pleasing manner. This competition aimed to enhance their writing skills. The winners were Anum Irfan Siddique of Class VI (First Place), Arshan Perwez of Class V (Second Place), Aditi Bhoi of Class V (Third Place), and Debanjali Das, who received a Consolation Prize.

Junior Editor:

For Classes VII-X, students took on the challenge of designing newspaper layouts, which included creating headlines, writing editorials, and presenting their work. The participants demonstrated remarkable creativity and enthusiasm, with each house presenting unique themes. Vaayu House was recognized as the Best Performer for their outstanding newspaper

These hands-on activities helped the kids to understand the concept clearly and they also enjoyed learning through activities. It also developed their fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination.

The program focused to create awareness about the need to preserve the environment and natural resources to keep the world healthy. Students participated in the program with zeal and enthusiasm.

Story Weaver (Story Narration): For Classes I-II, students narrated creative stories with moral values using props and costumes in the classroom. For Classes III-IV, students also narrated stories with moral values, using creative props, backdrops, and costumes. The participants demonstrated great enthusiasm and interest. The winners in this category were Ritika Sahoo of Class IV (First Place), Ashmit Kamble of Class IV (Second Place), and Rajvika of Class IV (Third Place). Aaira Irfan Siddique of Class III received a Consolation Prize.

The Pinnacle Performer (Skit Presentation): Students from Classes V-X performed skits on various social issues. Each house presented different themes, showcasing their talents through backdrops, costumes, and creative props. Vaayu House was awarded the Best Performer for their skit on the theme "Jal Sanrakshan" (Water Conservation).

Thus, the event instilled a deep sense of patriotism and respect among the students, reminding them of the immense sacrifices made by the soldiers for the nation's freedom and security.

Guru is inspiration, Guru is aspiration

 Guru Purnima is a ritualistic celebration marked to honour the guru, the one who leads us to the right path of life. Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Darlipali celebrated Guru Purnima on Saturday, 20th July 2024, with a special assembly conducted with zeal and enthusiasm.

The Student Council member, Ms. Subhasmita Behera, welcomed the Principal with a flower bouquet. The program commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the honourable Principal, Ms. Neerja Tiwari. The celebration featured a group song that served as a heartfelt tribute to the gurus, expressing deep reverence and gratitude. This was followed by a captivating group dance performed by the talented students and a soulful shloka recitation.

A highlight of the event was an inspiring speech delivered by the Hindi faculty, Mr. Arun Kumar Yadav. He emphasized the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the future and instilling essential values in students. He noted that while a teacher leads students by the hand, a Guru leads them by example. The Principal, Ms. Neerja Tiwari, further enriched the occasion with her address, highlighting the importance of mothers as the first and foremost teachers in everyone’s life.

The Guru Purnima celebration was a resounding success, filled with joy, gratitude, and inspiration.

The celebration was inaugurated by the Principal, Ms. Neerja Tiwari, who planted a neem sapling. She motivated the students by emphasising the importance of a planting trees and the role students in conservation of environment.

The event was grand success, as it gave a platform for students to learn about environmental issues and instil in them a sense of responsibility towards nature. It also fostered a spirit of teamwork and community service among students.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the chief guest, Shri Harsh Nath Chakraborti, Head of the Plant NTPC, Darlipali, and the guest of honour, Ms. Pratibha Singh, Head of HR NTPC Darlipali. Also in attendance, were Ms Neerja Tiwari, Principal of Bal Bharati Public School, along with respected teachers, students, and parents. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome of guests by Principal Neerja Tiwari, while the marching troupe, accompanied by the beating of drums, escorted the guests.

After that, the newly elected Head student Miss Manyata Das, Deputy head student, Miss Rajashree Priyadarshani and other council members along with House Captains and a Deputy House Captains marched spritely and majestically in sync with the beating of the drums. They were conferred with badges and sashes by the honourable Guests. Principal Madam recited the oath, while the Council members, led by the Head student and Deputy Head student, repeat after her in unison. They took the oath to carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence and to embody and uphold the ideals of the school.

The Honorary Mr. Harsh Nath Chakraborti addressed newly formed members congratulated them and asked them to be impartial and honest in leadership, unity, discipline and morality. While Ms. Pratibha Singh in her addressal congratulated the newly invested members of the student council and emphasised on setting priorities and aiming high. Flags held high and heads stood tall as the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The event marked a significant milestone, inspiring the students to take on their new roles with dedication and enthusiasm, promising a year of growth and excellence for Bal Bharati Public School.

The honourable principal, Ms. Neerja Tiwari, spearheaded the programme by planting a Neem sapling and the students of each house along with their respective house masters took the initiative of planting Neem saplings in the school campus. The students and staffs also prepared a kitchen garden by sowing seeds and planting saplings of different vegetables in the school premises.

Participants practiced and performed all the asanas, while Acharya Pratishtha explained their significance and benefits. The session highlighted the importance of Yoga in maintaining harmony between the body and mind, an essential aspect of a healthy lifestyle. Throughout the event, all faculties, staff, and children engaged actively, gaining insights into the importance of incorporating Yoga into their daily routines. The celebrations concluded under the esteemed supervision of the honourable Principal, Mrs. Neerja Tiwari. The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks delivered by Simi Sen, Member of the Cultural Committee, marking the end of a successful and enlightening day.

The International Yoga Day celebrations at Bal Bharati Public School were not just a testament to the school's dedication to holistic education but also an inspiring reminder of the value of integrating physical and mental wellness practices in daily life.

Our School was visited by honorable Ms Rekha Sharma, Advisor, CES & Ms Nanu Rekhi, secretary/ Manager, BBPS, Darlipali on Friday, 19^th April 2024.

The dignitaries were welcomed with tilak & escorted by School council members.  To cherish the moment a small cultural programme was arranged. The programme started with a Welcome Song followed by Classical Dance presentation to pay obeisance to Lord Ganesha. To create a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, sacred verses from Bhagavad Geeta were recited. To enrich the programme & cherish the cultural heritage of Odisha, a Sambalpuri dance was performed by our lovely students.

Towards the end of the programme, the staffs and students were blessed with the words of wisdom of esteem dignitary, Ms Rekha Sharma.  She shared some of her life experiences with students & asked them to love & respect their Institution & feel proud as Bal Bharatian & Indian.

Ms Nanu Rekhi appreciated all the participants, all the students, teachers for their team work & asked students express their experience in Bal Bharati.

Both the dignitaries wished best to everyone.

 It was indeed a memorable day and the students & staffs were blessed to have such eminent figures with them.

The competition focused on different types of art style and was categorized in three groups-Classes III-IV, Classes V-VI, and Classes VII-X. Each category catered innovative art talents such as collage making, Best out of waste and poster making based on themes - Nature, Trash to new and New hopes. For classes I-II Finger Print Art Activity was conducted wherein the students made beautiful drawing using Finger Print .

Students participated in the competition with great enthusiasm, showcasing their talents and embracing the spirit of healthy competition.

Jal House bagged the first position in Class III-IV category, while Vayu House and Jal House claimed the top position in both the categories, classes IV-VI and Classes VII-X, respectively. The competition result reflects the dedication and skill of the participating students.

Also, our tiny tots actively participated in the tearing and pasting activity, where they tore yellow colour paper and pasted in the picture of a Mango and Sunflower.

The activity helped them to develop fine motor skills, speaking skills and to identify different objects of yellow colour. Indeed, it was a fun learning day for the kids.

To celebrate progression and development, Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Darlipali, celebrated ‘Graduation Ceremony’ to applaud the young enthusiastic learners of Pre-Primary for their commendable performance in the session 2023-24. The programme commenced with a beautiful dance performance by the tiny tots of Pre-School. This was followed by a power point presentation where the journey of Pre-Primary kids was reflected. Students of Pre-Primary were given stage to share their wonderful experience. The most important part of the ceremony was the felicitation of young graduates, where the delighted tiny tots of Pre-Primary dressed in Graduation robes and caps walked the stage. Further children were felicitated with graduation certificate by the honorable Principal. Moreover, some parents shared their experiences regarding their wards journey in the school. The honorable Principal addressed the ceremony with her motivating words. The event concluded with dance performance by the our young graduates and vote of thanks by Mr.Shiv Shankar Nayak. It was indeed a memorable day and a proud moment for the parents and the mentors.

For the students of Pre-school and Pre-primary, ‘Rainbow Roads: Colour Your Safety’ a colouring competition with road safety themes was organised, allowing them to express their creativity while learning about basic road safety concepts.

Students in Class I to II took part in the 'Signs of Safety: Symbol Craft Challenge,' where they crafted Traffic Symbols on A4-size chart paper and explained them.

Students in Class III to IV participated in "Rules of the Road: Penning Pathways to Safety," an activity that involved writing and creating road safety guidelines or rules. Participants wrote road safety rules that promoted safe behaviour on the roads.

Students in Class V to VI took part in "Words for Wheels: Slogan Innovation Challenge," a slogan writing competition in Hindi/English challenging their knowledge and understanding of road safety rules and regulations.

Students in Class VII to IX participated in "Design for Drive: Poster Creation Rally," a Poster-making competition with messages promoting road safety, such as wearing helmets, using seat belts, obeying traffic rules, and avoiding distracted driving.

These activities ensured that students across age groups actively contribute to spreading awareness and understanding of road safety principles during this important week.

The event successfully fostered cultural understanding among students. The activity not only showcased the creativity of the students but also reinforced the importance of recognising and celebrating diversity

Different process of craft like cutting and folding paper, coloring and texturing were demonstrated by the teacher. All the students enjoyed the demonstration and then showcased their creation.

The students learnt the basic technique of Paper cup Robot. It was helpful for them in developing their creative thought in visual art.

The activity provided deep insight into Swar Saadhna and a deep sense of understanding the persona that every Raga has.  It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of rhythm with raga.

Nature Club- The students of classes I-III spoke about natural disasters. The students of classes IV-IX presented a PPT on Natural disasters and manmade disasters and their mitigation.

Interact Club- Students of classes I-III performed poems and expressed their thoughts. The students of IV-VI enacted any commical character or incident of their choice and the students of classes VII-X were taught the art of expressing their emotions incorporating the idea of navarasa (the Sanskrit term for the nine emotional states of human experience, such as love, joy, anger, and fear).

Health and Wellness- The theme of the 2^nd club activity was ‘Fit Matters’ in which the students of classes I-III performed Zumba which helped them to burn calories, strengthen core and improve flexibility. The students of classes IV-VI did different yoga asanas and meditation in a systematic way to energise their body and boost their memory. Whereas a stress management workshop was organised for the students of   VII-IX that helped them to learn about different ways to de-stress.

Budding scientists club- A sustainable future depends on science, critical thinking, innovation and its applications as well as on correct legislation. To make the creativity of the students more visually appealing and integrating scientific innovations with expressiveness of the students’ different activities were conducted. The students of classes I-III understood the concept of sink or float where they played, experimented and discovered what types of objects float and sink in water and why during a hands-on activity. Students of classes IV-VI created solar cooker which helped them to learn about solar power and solar heating. Periscopes were made by the students of classes VII-IX that helped them to develop an understanding of observation over, around or through an object, obstacle or condition that prevents direct line-of-sight observation from an observer's current position.

Digital and Photography club- This club not just allow individuals the chance to tap the photos and spare them for the future, yet in addition gave a sort of stage to express their feelings, emotions, and observation. This time the students were introduced to the fundamentals of cinematography and videography followed by the presentation of short films by the students.

Students enthusiastically took part in their respective club activities and foster their creative and interactive skills.

Further, to mark the importance of this day, students showcased their talents through a cultural event at the stadium, featuring a colorful parade, mesmerizing dance, soul-stirring songs, poem recitation, and speech. Each performance radiated energy and enthusiasm, fostering a sense of unity among the audience. The junior wing students captivated everyone with a soulful rendition of patriotic songs, followed by a spectacular dance performance conveying the message of unity in diversity.

The speech and poem presented by the senior wing students delved into the historical significance of Republic Day and the values it upholds. They served as a reminder not just to appreciate the efforts of our countrymen in achieving independence but also to preserve and respect those accomplishments today and always.

Republic Day was more than just a celebration; it was a reaffirmation of allegiance to the ideals that make India truly great.

The activity not only enhanced their fine motor skills & creative skills , it also helped them to express their emotions and respect for others.

Students attended the programme with full interest and learnt basics  of Sanskrit language. The session was really informative and helpful for the students.

On this occasion, a motivational movie, "Vivekananda ki Atmakatha," was screened on January 12, 2024, for students in Class I to IX. The film fostered self-discovery and self-discipline, providing valuable insights into the philosopher's teachings and timeless principles.

The programme commenced with a Ganesh Stuti Invocation Dance, setting a spiritual and harmonious tone for the evening. Following this, the audience was treated to a vibrant performance of the Pre-School student’s shining superstars Dance, showcasing the cultural diversity and talent of the students. The Pre-primary student’s Party Grooves dance brought an energetic and lively atmosphere, captivating everyone present.

The Principal's Report provided insights into the school's achievements, milestones, and future plans. This was followed by a heartwarming dance titled "United we stand "emphasising unity in diversity and fostering a sense of togetherness. An Indigenous Game segment named “ Yadoon ka Idiot Box” added an interactive and traditional touch to the event, engaging both students and guests. In line with the school's commitment to environmental awareness, the theme "Greenbeat fusion" was explored through a creative performance, encouraging sustainable practices. "Dharti Ki Vyatha" brought attention to environmental challenges, urging everyone to contribute to the preservation of our planet. The cultural extravaganza continued with a mesmerising “Dhunuchi Dance” and a powerful “Kahani ek fouzi ki”, honouring the rich heritage of India and paying tribute to the armed forces. The Prize Distribution ceremony recognised and applauded the exceptional achievements of students across various disciplines. The Chief Guest, Mr. Harsh Nath Chakraborty, delivered an inspiring address, commending the school's efforts in nurturing holistic development. The evening continued with a lively “Bhangra Dance” and a colourful Rajasthani Dance named “Kalbelia”, showcasing the diversity of India. The Vote of Thanks expressed gratitude to all participants and organisers for their dedicated efforts in making the event a success. The programme concluded with a Curtain Call, leaving the audience with memories of a spectacular evening filled with talent, culture, and celebration.

 On the 22nd of December 2023, Bal Bharati Public School hosted its much-awaited Sports Day with great ardour and zeal. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Harsh Nath Chakraborty, Head of Plant NTPC and Vice-Chairman of Bal Bharati Public School Darilpali, along with various other dignitaries from NTPC and education sectors. Other prominent dignitaries graced the occasion including Mr. T.K Bageshwar,General Manager; Miss Pratibha Singh, HO HR; Miss Sangita Bakla, Senior Manager HR; Miss Naina Kujur, Block Education Officer. The presence of such accomplished individuals added prestige to the occasion.

The lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the felicitation of the esteemed guests had set the stage for the grand event. The unfurling of the School flag had been a moment of pride, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem and a Guard of Honour by the students.

The March Past, showcasing discipline and coordination, had been a testament to the dedication of the students. The Torch Lighting and Oath Taking ceremonies had imbued the atmosphere with a sense of sportsmanship and commitment. The event had then transitioned into various physical demonstrations, beginning with Surya Namaskar and Yoga, promoting holistic well-being. The energetic Zumba performance had highlighted the importance of rhythmic fitness, captivating the audience with its vibrant choreography.

Newly introduced games such as Kitkit, Baghacheli, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Volleyball had been demonstrated, showcasing the school's commitment to diverse sporting activities. The warm-up presentation by Foundation Level kids had added a touch of innocence and charm to the proceedings.

Mr. Harsh Nath Chakraborty, the Chief Guest, had delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to pursue excellence in both academics and sports. The principal had also shared words of wisdom, emphasising the holistic development of each student.

The declaration of the Sports Meet had marked the commencement of a series of events, some important events such as the -:

The closing ceremony was a culmination of a day filled with excitement, achievements, and camaraderie. The vote of thanks expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, and the National Anthem brought the day to a befitting close.

In essence, the Annual Sports Day at Bal Bharati Public School had been a celebration of athleticism, spirit, and unity, leaving indelible memories for students, parents, and guests alike. The school remained committed to fostering a culture of sports and physical well-being for its students.

Annual Exhibition at Bal Bharati Public School - A Spectacular Showcase of Talent

On 18th November, Bal Bharati Public School hosted its much-anticipated Annual Exhibition named “The Young Minds’ Conclave & The Frolic of Cuisine and Recreation – The Food and Fun Fiesta”. The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Ajai Kumar Tandon (HOP NTPC Darlipali). The school premises buzzed with excitement as students eagerly showcased their prowess in various domains. The event kicked off with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by lighting of lamp and blessing of Lord Ganesh. Mr.Ajai kumar Tandon commended the school for fostering an environment that encourages holistic development and emphasised the importance of such exhibitions in nurturing a well-rounded education.

The exhibition featured stalls representing diverse subjects, each overseen by competent judges. Ms. Manjulata Patel, TGT Science from Govt High School Sargipali; Mr. Vijay Sankar Sahu, TGT Arts; and Mr. Bhupendra Kumar, TGT Biology from JNV Zinc Nagar, lent their expertise as judges. The stalls included -:

Adding to it separate corner dedicated to games and delectable food added to the festive atmosphere. Students showcased their scientific experiments, artistic creations, historical insights, linguistic talents, musical abilities, and athletic prowess with enthusiasm.

The Annual Exhibition at Bal Bharati Public School was a resounding success, not only highlighting the students' academic achievements but also their creativity and sportsmanship. In a nutshell, the Children's Day and Diwali celebration was a beautiful amalgamation of joy, culture, and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

It was a wonderful activity which involved all the students. The activity helped them to develop their fine motor skills, communication skills, and work in collaboration. All the students enjoyed the activity and were also able to know about things in the sky.

In this activity brief introduction regarding Canva and the different tools  used in Canva was  discussed. Students learnt about various tools used in Canva and created a project “E-Card” by using Canva

The activity was really informative. It helped the students to understand and develop the designing and creativity skill.

A special music programme – ‘Tablatim Beats’ was conducted on Monday, 16^th October 2023 for the students of class- I-III as a part of integrated learning. The teacher demonstrated playing Kayda in Tabla and some basic knowledge regarding Tabla. All the students enjoyed the demonstration and then show cased their talents.

The activity provided deep insight into “Tablatim Beats” and a deep sense of understanding the persona that every beats of kayda has. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of rhythm using kayda in tabla.

Students visually represented various pollutants, sources ,their impacts and promoted a deeper understanding of environmental issues.

The students not only enjoyed the session but also learnt the basic steps of Kalbeliya dance. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of the rhythm with song.

It was a wonderful activity which involved all the students. The activity helped them to develop their communication skills & instill confidence. All the students enjoyed the activity and also learnt about animals’/insects’ names & their sounds.

The event was a resounding success, with students showcasing their ability to engage in meaningful discourse and present their viewpoints with confidence and clarity. "Voices Deserved to Be Heard" undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the young minds, reminding them that their voices deserve to be heard in the world of ideas and beyond.

Students learnt about time management, its importance, planning & reviewing of goals and techniques to managing time, anxiety in pressure with situational examples through power point presentation. Students solved “Jigsaw Puzzle” wherein the teacher showed a picture and asked the students to solve it in précised time in groups. They learnt how to manage time, overcome procrastination, to avoid vague and to handle mental pressure in their daily life.

The session was really informative and helpful in relation to overcome procrastination & manage time to lead a more balanced, stress free & healthier life.

To enhance students’ knowledge of Odia language, a language enhancement activity, ‘Painting with Lentils’ was conducted on Monday, 18^th September 2023. In this activity the students will draw National fruit or Flag of India and will paste pulses to give an artistic look. Students will write their name in Odia.

Students enthusiastically took part in the activity and learnt the significance of the National symbols and the regional language, Odia.

Different process of painting like draw outline, coloring and texturing were demonstrated by the teacher. All the students enjoyed the demonstration and then showcased their creation.

The students learnt the basic technique of Dry leaf painting. It was helpful for them in developing their creative thought in visual art.

Story Narration- The students of classes I-III narrated creative and inspiring stories with moral values by using creative props, backdrops and creative costumes. The participants of each house presented the stories with lots of enthusiasm and great interest. In this competition, the students who bagged the First, Second and Third position are Ritika Sahoo of class -III, Dritan Gogam of class-III and Subhrasweta Behera of Class -III respectively. Reyansh Archit of class-I & Vighnesh Baskey of class-II secured Consolation position.

Dramatic Art - Students of classes IV-X performed a skit presentation on the theme of social issues. The participants of each house showcased their talents and presented different social issues through skit presentation using backdrops, costumes, creative props. In this competition, Jal house presented a skit on the theme ‘Science vs Superstition’ and were awarded the best performers in the skit presentation .

The students not only enjoyed the session but also learnt the new dance form of Jazz dance. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of the rhythm with song.

Overall, Janmashtami at the school was a celebration of devotion and culture, bringing the entire school community together in reverence and merriment.

It provided a platform to the budding sportsmen to exhibit their talent and skills with great enthusiasm and passion. Their zeal was clearly conveyed through their performances. Through the presentation students learnt the importance of sports in all round development.

The event was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. All the students of Pre-School and Pre-primary tied handmade Rakhi made by themselves to their classmates, friends and sibling to show their unconditional love for each other. They learnt about the  importance of this precious thread that connects our Indian culture and mythology. Students  showcased their creativity by making Rakhi.

Nature Club- The students of classes I-III created a nature art by using waste papers, reused and recycled materials under the theme ‘Every day is Earth day’. The students of classes IV-VI made a model on different method of rainwater harvesting and demonstrated the model. The students of classes VII-X created a working model on ozone depletion and explained the preventive measures of Ozone layer depletion.

Interact Club- Students of classes I-III made a handmade card with a message and attached it with a book which they wish to donate. The students of IV-VI Students made a handmade band for the community helpers and the students of classes VII-X were taught the art of tie and dye by the teacher and they coloured T-shirts using the tie and dye technique by following the instruction.

Health and Wellness- The theme of the 1^st club activity was ‘More control less risk’ in which the students of classes I-III prepared a chart of healthy vs junk food and acquired the knowledge of the harmful effects of junk food in our health and the importance of healthy diet. The students of classes IV-VI prepared posters on ‘say no to tobacco’ to create awareness about the injurious consequence of tobacco and nicotine consumption and power point presentations were presented by the students of classes VII-X on the topic ‘Equalize-Addressing disparities’ where they orated about including the HYV-AIDS sufferers to the mainstream society.

Budding scientists club- To make the creativity of the students more visually appealing and integrating Mathematics with expressiveness of the students different activities were conducted. The students of classes I-III created a scenery using different geometrical shapes. Students of classes IV-VI created a geometric art with the help of strings. Polyhedrons such as cubes, octahedron etc. were made by the students of classes VII-X by cutting and folding of paper and interlocking them which created a visual impact of solid shapes.

Digital and Photography club- Students were introduced to fundamental skills of photography by a resource person Mr. Jacob Debbarma and they also learnt different details such as holding a camera, natural framing, usage of colours and contrast. Students also displayed their best capture of their natural surroundings.

Students enthusiastically took part in their respective club activities and foster their creative and interactive skills.

On this auspicious Occasion, the guest wished everyone and shared the word of wisdom. He addressed  the gathering & expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. He urged everyone to work with honesty and dedication for the nation. He elucidated about the teacher’s huge responsibility in creating the beautiful future. Our school coordinator, Ms. Sheena Thomas stated that every student has got individual capacity to push through the potential and it’s our responsibility to horn and nurture it for India’s development.

Marking the freedom and glory of the Nation, Bal Bharati Public School, Darlipali proudly celebrated 77th Independence Day on Monday,14^th August 2023 in the school premises. The school campus was beautifully decorated with flags, balloons and different craft items to commemorate the day. The Independence Day celebration commenced with a special programme which comprised of Patriotic Song, poem and Patriotic Dance presentation to pay tribute to the real heroes & expressed love for country. The programme filled the hearts of the students with patriotic fervour.

Students from PS to Class-X participated in various activities organized by the school. Our scholars expressed their patriotic zeal through activities like Patriotic Heroes (Cosplay), Badge of Honour (Badge making), Colours of happiness (Wind chime making), Colours of Contentment (Rangoli making), and Spirit of Patriotism (Elocution).  Students also shared their views on the struggle of Motherland and how the unsung heroes contribute to the freedom struggle.

 Sweets were distributed among the students. All the students participated in different activities and enjoyed the day with full enthusiasm.

The "Storyteller" event sought to empower young minds and equip them with essential skills that would benefit their personal and academic development.

In conclusion, the 'National Birds' activity was a commendable initiative that aims to deepen students' connection with birds, raise awareness of avian diversity, and promote conservation efforts and encouraging students to protect our feathered friends and ensuring their survival in the years to come.

The Teacher Coordinator explained that Good touch is full of warmth and is comfortable, on the other hand bad touch is risky and makes a child uneasy through a Power Point Presentation and an online video about how children need to protect themselves in bad situation.

The session was really informative and helpful in relation to the child safety.

Overall, the  event on the provided a platform for students to showcase their spelling abilities. It fostered healthy competition and encouraged students to improve their spelling skills.

The students not only enjoyed the session but also learnt the basic steps of Bollywood dance. It helped the students to learn basic skills of the dance form.

The activity not only enhanced the critical thinking, gross motor and fine motor skills of the students but also gave them a chance to self-express their imagination.

Students attended the programme with full interest and learnt basic steps of Spoken Sanskrit language. The session was really informative and helpful for the students.

Students took part enthusiastically and learnt the significance of national parks which will build up their grasp on biodiversity and importance of its conservation.

In this activity various Scratch commands were discussed and “A person is dancing with music beat of Drum” as an example demonstrated.

Students learnt about various blocks used in Scratch Programming Language and created project by using scratch code.

The activity was really informative. It helped the students to understand and develop the programming skill.

The orientation program was very informative, interesting & interactive.

The above points were explained through an effective & informative power point presentation. At the end doubts were taken up. The programme kept the students engaged and lively throughout. It aimed at being a catalyst to motivate students for their enthusiastic participation in all the activities.

The asanas will help in maintaining a steady posture and reduce mental tiredness, stress and anxiety. The celebration served as a reminder of the significance of self-care and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The Committee was warmly welcomed by the principal and the staff members. Prior to formalizing the affiliation process, the Committee inspected the school building, computer and science laboratories, library, and other available facilities. A special assembly was organized on this occasion wherein the school welcomed the esteemed guests, and the students showcased their talents.

The students enjoyed the programme with great interest and they learnt about the richness of Indian culture & festivals.

The activity provided deep insight into devotional song and a deep sense of understanding the persona that every songs has. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of rhythm of the devotional Song.

All the students were done blow painting by using variety of different water colours, straw and white sheet.  Students displayed amazing artwork out of the blow painting like monster, germs, spider, flowers etc. It was great fun for tiny tots and allowed them to use their imagination and creativity.

The activity helped them to develop their oral motor skills and to know the different colors. All students enjoyed with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The picnic helped them to observe different types of plants all around them. The day was well spent enjoying, singing and interacting with each other. They played different games like throw ball, Kabbadi, badminton, etc. After a tiring and fun packed day all relished different food items.

It was a memorable event, and it motivated the students to take care of their environment and to maintain cleanliness around them. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone was rejuvenated.

It was a joyous learning experience for the students.

It was an amazing experience for the parents as well as the students. The parents in their feedback appreciated the competition, they felt nostalgic as the activity helped them to  recollect their school day memories.

On 26^th January the Chief Guest, Sri. Alok Kumar Ranbir, AGM HR NTPC Darlipali, hoisted the Tricolour flag. During the occasion Smt. Vera Sangita Baxla ,Sr. Manager (HR NTPC Darlipali) also marked her presence.. The Chief guest in his speech urged everyone to uphold the honour and integrity of the nation. The Principal, Mr.Suryanaryan Mohanty in his address expressed pride in the rich cultural heritage of our country. Everyone took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of Unity.

The audit enabled the school to identify its vision, evolve, and achieve aspirations with accordance to the standards of CES.    It was a participative process that provided a detailed analysis of the present situation of the school and guidelines for further development of the institution.

A special assembly was conducted on this occasion wherein the school welcomed the esteemed guests and the students showcased their talents. During the visit, the auditors inspected the school, documents and gave their valuable advice to take the school to the pinnacle of success.

The details are as follows:

Nature Club: The students of classes I&II performed a role play individually on the topic ‘Save Animals’. The students of class III to V made an artificial bird by paper quilling art and presented the same. And the student of class VI to IX presented a power point presentation on the topic ‘Harmful effects of radiation on birds.

Interact Club: The students of classes I&II narrated a self-made story on good manners. The students of classes III to V made a first aid kit for the needy people and explained the same with its uses and benefits. The students of classes VI to IX made a gift item like pen stand, flowerpot, creative envelope and presented to their parents.

Health & Wellness Club: As the adage goes, a healthy body is a healthy mind. The students of classes I&II made a chart on healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, grains and spoke about the health benefits of it. The students of classes III to V learnt and displayed table manners and etiquettes. Then the students of classes VI to IX prepared a poster on ‘Gender Sensitization’.

Vernacular Club: With the aim to foster Hindi/Sanskrit/Odia language the students of Classes III-V composed and presented a song/poem on the theme ‘Mother’ in Hindi/Sanskrit language. The students of classes VI to IX shared a few motivational quotes in languages like Sanskrit, Odia or Hindi through a poster.

Digital Club: The student of class VI to IX made digital e-card using Adobe Spark, offline software under the assistance of Teacher.

The students learnt lots of things through experiential learning. These activities provided a platform to explore the knowledge and it also helped in developing their creativity and presentation skills.

Various cultural programmes were presented, such as dance, song, cosplay on the theme- “Vividhata me Ekta”. Adding to it a teacher’s talk was given to throw light on the essence of the festival.  Kite flying was one of the major attractions for Pre-school & Pre-primary. BBPS tiny tots enjoyed and learnt the importance of the occasion.  The students learnt lots of things about different culture and tradition.

The celebration indeed promoted unity in diversity among students.

Class III & IV: Tux Paint activity was conducted for the students of class III and IV. In this activity various tools used in scratch will be discussed. After painting how to Export the image will be shown.

Class V & VI: Scratch Programming activity was conducted for the students of class V & VII. In this activity different blocks used in Scratch will be discussed. A project of Scratch will be demonstrated.

Class VII to IX: Open Shot Video Editor activity was conducted for the students of class VII to IX. In this activity various tools were shown and how to insert Logo, Title Welcome Page and thankyou page will be demonstrated.

The activity was really informative. It helped the students to understand and develop the Thinking, Creative and Programming Skill.

The respective class teachers encouraged and appreciated the students for putting their best effort.

Mr. Kalpesh Kumar Kayasth, Principal BBPS Jhanor concluded the session by throwing some light on the importance of CES.

The session was very informative and the basic details regarding the above mentioned topic was articulated well.

The boundless joy of celebration was amply visible on the faces of the children . The celebration included children coming in their favourite red and white colour party dress.

Varieties of programme like Drama, Dances, Patriotic song were performed by the students exposed their efficiency. There were feet tapping Dances, a skit based on ‘Influence of social media’ not forgetting the sprightly song sung by the choir group. The talented anchors inspired the audience through delivering a well-articulated speech and storytelling. The climax of the evening that enraptured the audience was a dance presentation by the talented mothers.

The Annual Prize Distribution was the moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. The students were bestowed with the ‘Best Performer Award’ for their outstanding performances in the Scholastic as well as Co-Scholastic areas.

 The event came to a close with the National Song as a tribute to our nation.  The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of the Mr. Sudip Biswas, Dance Teacher BBPS Darlipali.

Different process of Mandala art like line, design, pattern, coloring and texturing were demonstrated by the teacher. All the students enjoyed the demonstration and then showcased their creation.

The students learnt the basic technique of design making. It was helpful for the students in developing their creative thought in visual art.

Class I-III: Drawing Competition was conducted for the students of classes I-III on the topic ‘Energy Savings Equipment’s and their benefits’ on Monday, 12^th December 2022. Students were asked to draw and colour on the assigned topic. It was judged by Mr.Jaydeb Pal.

Class IV-V: Essay Writing Competition was conducted for the students of classes IV&V on the topic ‘India at 2022 on Energy Conservation’ on Monday, 12^th December 2022. Students were asked to write an essay of 200 words on the given topic. It was judged by Mr. Shiv Shankar Nayak

Class VI-IX: Elocution Competition was conducted for the students of class VI-IX on the topic ‘Your contribution towards Energy Conservation’ on Monday, 12^th December 2022.Students were asked to speak on the given topic. It was judged by Ms.Sheena Thomas.

Class PS & PP: Drawing Competition was conducted for the students of class PS and PP on the topic ‘Energy Conservation’ on Tuesday, 13^th December 2022. Students were asked to draw and colour on the assigned topic. It was judged by Ms.Suman Khute and Ms.Sonali Pandey.

These competitions provided an awareness to the students about the importance of energy efficiency and conservation.

A health camp was organized in the school for all the students to spread awareness about health check-up and maintaining a healthy life. The program started at 9.30 a.m. with the arrival of a team of doctors headed by Dr.Jyoti Kumari and Dr.Anjali Singuru from Nirmaya hospital a wing of NTPC, Darlipali. An introductory speech was given by our respected principal sir and head of the doctor’s team. During the camp students got their height and weight checked, BMI calculated. Students were advised some type of food and exercises by the doctors to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A comprehensive report of the medical history of each child was recorded by the school. General examination and vitals were checked.

The activity helped the students to learn a new dance form with grace and composed moves. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of rhythm with song.

Different process of Sculpture like folding, giving 3d shape, colouring and texturing were demonstrated by the teacher. All the students enjoyed the demonstration and then showcased their creation.

The students learnt the basic technique of Sculpture making. It was helpful for them in developing their creative thought in visual art.

The fun day encouraged our young enthusiasts to explore their environment, develop muscle strength and coordination, and gain self-confidence. It was a day filled with fun and the students returned with memories to be cherished forever.

In this activity various Scratch commands were discussed and a person walks in Desert as an example demonstrated.

Students learnt about various blocks used in Scratch Programming Language and created project by using scratch code.

The activity was really informative. It helped the students to understand and develop the programming skill.

The activity helped them to develop their fine motor skills, boost self-esteem and also improves eye-hand coordination. All the students enjoyed making bus craft and cheerfully learnt the transport song.

As an initiative to bring awareness among the people residing in the vicinity of BBPS, NTPC Darlipali a social awareness campaign was organized on 19^th November 2022. Rally by school children and Nukkad Natak were part of the program for creating awareness on Education. The theme of the Nukkad Natak was ‘Padhega India, Toh Badhega India’. The school children marched through the lanes of the village holding placards and raising slogans. Students & Teachers participated in the programme with great enthusiasm to spread the message.

The objectives of the campaign were to create awareness on importance of education and to promote girl child education. The idea of the campaign was devised by the Secretary / Manager (CES) Ms. Nanu Rekhi and well executed by the BBPS Darlipali Team.

‘Science is not just about inventions but it is also about touching lives in many ways’, this message was shared through this Programme.

Students participated and enjoyed the Programme to the fullest and it provided a platform to explore the knowledge and helped to develop the Scientific skills, creativity and thinking skills of the students.

The activity provided deep insight into “Guitar Spikers” and a deep sense of understanding the persona that every songs has. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of rhythm using chords in guitar with strumming.

This session was really informative and helpful for the students as it created awareness related to road safety & traffic rules.

The day provided an opportunity to the tiny tots a practical learning experience. These activities helped them to develop their motor skills, focus, encourage self-expression and stimulate creativity. Students participated well and learnt about green colour with keen interest.

Class I- III: Poster Making Competition was judged by Mr. Jaydev Pal and Ms. Simi Sen on the topic ‘Corruption free India’. Students were asked to make poster on the assigned topic and submit for the jury members.

Class IV- VI: Essay Writing Competition was judged by Mr. Shiv Shankar Nayak and  Ms. Sheena Thomas on the topic ‘Corruption free India for a developed  nation’. Students were asked to write an essay of 150-200 words on the given topic and submitted to the jury members.

Class VII- IX: Debate Competition was judged by Mr. Shiv Shankar Nayak and  Ms. Sheena Thomas on the topic ‘Corruption free India for a developed  nation’. Students were asked to speak for or against the given topic on the basis of which judgment was made.

These competitions provided a platform to explore the knowledge, help to develop the artistic skills, creativity and thinking skills of the student.

In the end, the winners were awarded medals and certificates. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and memories to cherish. The principal, Mr. Surya Narayan Mohanty, thanked all the teachers for their cooperation and support and advised children to keep up their sportsman spirit. He also          extended his gratitude to Mr. Anil Kumar, Coordinator P.E for making the event a grand success.

Nature Club: The students of class I&II made a lady bug by coloring a rock and also said few lines on their creation. The students of class III to V made a wind catcher using natural things. And the student of class VI to IX prepared a terrarium using natural things.

Interact Club: The students of class I&II were paint a bottle on their selected cartoon character. The students of class III to V were made a mask on different emotion and also explain the same. Then the student of class VI to IX made a card for their grandparents’ to show their love and respect towards them.

Health & Wellness Club: The students of class I&II made a collage on different yoga postures and also shared the benefits of yoga. The students of class III to V performed meditation and shared the benefits of it by chart presentation. Then the student of class VI to IX were performed core exercise with the guidance of the teacher.

Vernacular Club: The students of Class III-V prepared a chart on basic sentences related to good manners in regional language. Then the student of class VI to IX performed a skit on the topic ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ in the regional language Oriya.

Digital Club: The student of class VI to IX made digital article using Adobe Spark, online software under the assistance of Teacher.

The students learnt lots of things and they had enjoyed. These activities provide a platform to explore the knowledge and it also help in developing their creativity and presentation skills.

It was a wonderful activity which involved all the students. The activity helped them to develop their fine motor skills & communication skills, instill confidence and work in collaboration. All the students enjoyed the activity and were also able know about animals names.

The activity provided deep insight into Inspiritual Divine and a deep sense of understanding the persona that every songs has. It was helpful for the students in developing coordination of rhythm with the songs related to the Environmental Song.

The guests were welcomed by a beautiful rendition of choir group. The principal, Mr S.N Mohanty felicitated the guest and extended a warm welcome to them. The students presented a contemporary dance as tribute to the teachers. A short interactive session was organized with the teachers on the development of the school and other important aspects of the school initiatives. On this auspicious day all the dignitaries wished all the teachers and praised them for their work. On the behalf of NTPC, all the teachers were given a token of respect and appreciation. The dignitaries had a school building tour.

It was concluded that the system and working of school was as per the core schools of the Child Education Society. The best possible steps to be taken for the amelioration of school were also discussed.

Guest had a few words of encouragement and appreciation for the school.

Students learnt about the factors leading to stress and solution of dealing pressure of stress, anxiety in difficult situation with situational examples through flash cards and pictures. Students did an anxiety diffusion exercise “Leaves on a stream” wherein the teacher shared a video and asked the students to watch the moving leaves on the screen and share the thoughts that comes into their mind. They learnt stress management, to manage negative and positive thoughts and how to avoid mental pressure in their daily life.

The session was really informative and helpful in relation to overcome stress & manage mental pressure to lead a more balanced, healthier life.

In this activity various LOGO commands was discussed and different shapes with example were demonstrated.

Students learnt about Introduction of MSW LOGO, various commands of LOGO programming Language and draw different shapes using the commands in LOGO.

The activity was really informative. It helped the students to understand and develop the programming skill.

BBPS Darlipali conducted the Second Inter-House Competition named ‘TRIBAL ART FORMS’ on Wednesday, 24^th August 2022 for the students of classes I-IX

The students of four houses participated and performed enthusiastically. Students of Classes I-II painted Warli Art using print making technique with different forms of potato blocks and Acrylic colour in a unique way. Students of classes III-V painted Gond Art with acrylic colour.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            And the students of classes VI-IX painted Madhubani Painting with Multiple drawing technique and using potato blocks for making the beautiful frame.

The competition was an opportunity to connect the students to Indian culture and traditional Art.

Story weaving activity demonstrates the art of creating a story, layering new ideas to build a vibrant story of characters and their lives, which inspire others. An English Enhancement Activity named ‘Spinning Wheels’ was conducted on Tuesday, 23rd August 2022 for IV-V Graders. In the activity the beginning of the story was given to the students. They used their imagination and creativity and finally wove a story. Students enjoyed framing up their own stories as this activity provided them an opportunity to ruminate individually.

Celebrating the glorious 75 years of independence of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava’ programme has been initiated by the Government of India. As a part of this Mahotsav, children of Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Darlipali took a pledge for good reading habit. The main objectives behind taking the pledge were to inculcate the reading habits in students from a young age and to strengthen the sense of responsibility towards the nation. It will be an attempt to recall and remember the forgotten heroes of our freedom struggle, many of whom might be renowned yet unknown to the new generation. The aim of recreating and bringing forth stories, which lay as faded memories of the past, shall serve as a medium of inspiration and encouragement for the coming generations. The ethos and principles of the national heroes ought to be recalled and respected. Young minds need to be fostered with something that gives them an opportunity to think.

The enthusiasm and fervour among the students and the teachers could be witnessed through their active participation.

The 76th Independence Day was celebrated in Bal Bharati Public School Darlipali with patriotic fervour. He elucidated about the teachers huge responsibility in creating the beautiful future.
