Bal Bharati Public School, Darlipali, is a constituent unit of the Child Education Society (CES), Delhi. The CES is registered under the Societies’ Registration Act 1860, and was founded in 1944 by eminent personalities.
The remarkable journey of the CES began with the first Bal Bharati School on Sri Ganga Ram Hospital Marg in 1944 followed by the setting up of the Nursery Teachers Training Institute in 1962. Thereafter Bal Bharati schools at Pitampura, Brij Vihar, Rohini, Nishatpura (Bhopal), Noida, Dwarka and Manesar came up in quick succession. To these were added schools run for the Indian railways and NTPC. Today with 13 core schools, 12 Project Schools with NTPC and other organizations, and one Franchisee School, the CES has contributed in a great measure to providing quality education to the masses.
Among the most notable personalities, who helped create a unique identity for Bal Bharati schools was Mr K K Khullar. As the President of CES for more than 30 years Mr Khullar will always be remembered as a perennial source of inspiration. His keen intellect and administrative acumen have placed Bal Bharati Schools among the best in the country.
The CES was guided next by the progressive and inspiring vision of the late Mr L R Channa , its President from 2014 till 2021. Farsighted and futuristic in his approach, his strategy accelerated innovations and improvements in all aspects of school education – be it infrastructure, teacher empowerment, sports or academic excellence.
Bal Bharati Public School NTPC Darlipali in collaboration with National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is built by NTPC spreading across warm and congenial surroundings, began its journey on 1st July 2019. The School was inaugurated by Sunil Kumar Satya (Executive Director, NTPC Darlipali) in the presence of Wilson Abraham (Additional General Manager (HR)), TVSS Prakash (AGM C&M), LN Patnaik (GM O&M) R.K. Giri (D.E.O Sundergarh), HarekrushnaPurohit (B.E.O Lephripara) and senior officials of HR.
The school is housed in modern attractive buildings equipped with all requisite facilities, well stocked library, laboratories, computers, audio visual equipment, facilities for creative arts, indoor and outdoor games. BBPS, Darlipali a nascent institution yet it has made a name for itself with in a year of functioning under the constant mentoring by Mr. Arvind Bhatia, the Chairman who supports and encourages every innovative endeavor. Ms. Nanu Rekhi, the Secretary manager of the school, is an institution in himself and a pillar of strength. Under the dynamic leadership of the Principal Ms. Neerja Piyush Tiwari, the institution has added salt in uplifting the education standards in and around Darlipali. The Managing Committee comprises officials from NTPC, eminent persons and educationists from the Child Education Society, New Delhi.
