Houses at Schools aim to inculcate and develop the qualities of leadership, public speaking & organizational skills among the students through various Inter house competitions. It enhances learning through interaction and discussion. Every activity carried out by the house encourages students to cultivate a different perception of life. Students get an opportunity to showcase and groom their talents. The first Inter house competition-Madclap Theatre of the session 2023-24 was conducted on Monday, 11th September 2023.This competition was divided into two groups i.e. Class I-III (Story Narration) and Class IV-X (Dramatic Art-Skit presentation)
Story Narration- The students of classes I-III narrated creative and inspiring stories with moral values by using creative props, backdrops and creative costumes. The participants of each house presented the stories with lots of enthusiasm and great interest. In this competition, the students who bagged the First, Second and Third position are Ritika Sahoo of class -III, Dritan Gogam of class-III and Subhrasweta Behera of Class -III respectively. Reyansh Archit of class-I & Vighnesh Baskey of class-II secured Consolation position.
Dramatic Art – Students of classes IV-X performed a skit presentation on the theme of social issues. The participants of each house showcased their talents and presented different social issues through skit presentation using backdrops, costumes, creative props. In this competition, Jal house presented a skit on the theme ‘Science vs Superstition’ and were awarded the best performers in the skit presentation .
